My philosophy

My love of movement is rooted in my thirst for deeper connection to Self. I believe that moving your body is an excellent tool for gaining insight. I also believe that mind and body are not separate, and should be treated with equal reverence and care.

My teaching style is spirited and lighthearted. Although I often stray from strictly traditional yoga postures, my classes are always grounded in the serious work of using asana to bring things to the surface: as a tool for seeing yourself.

I believe that a yoga class is a conversation, and I encourage questions in my class.

I draw from my dance background, flexibility training, and study of biomechanics and psychology to inform my teaching. I help my students build strength, mobility, and cultivate the self-compassion to trust the wisdom of their bodies.

In my free time, I love pole dancing as well as being in nature: hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding and being on the water. I live in Sonoma County my partner and my cat.
